Linear and cylindrical multi-format labeller

TEGAMAQ's reference platform for handling linear and cylindrical production on one machine with multiple levels of orientation, application and inspection.

150containers/minute linear
110containers/minute cylindrical
3available heads
0format parts

The challenge

Bring very different formats, orientations and controls into one agile platform.

The machine had to handle flat, oval, cylindrical and complex-shaped containers without dedicated part sets. It also needed to support different label positions, coding, inspection and optional modules while retaining fast changeovers and high output.

The solution

A modular architecture engineered around every product path.

The configuration combines linear transport, controlled rotation, upstream orientation and up to three labelling heads. Printing, vision and positioning are added to an accessible mechanical base with repeatable adjustment and electronic synchronisation.

01

Front and back

Coordinated linear application on both faces of the container, reaching up to 150 units per minute depending on the required centring system.

02

Cylindrical multi-format

Wrap-around, two labels or registered application against a mark or existing label, at approximately 100–110 containers per minute.

03

Optional third head

A third applicator can be added for promotional labels, holograms or other specialist functions.

04

Printing and vision

Coding and cameras can be integrated to verify printed information, label presence and final position.

05

Servo-driven orientation

Centring belts and servo grippers orient complex-shaped containers before label application.

06

Synchronous transport

The top hold-down belt runs as an electronic axis synchronised with the conveyor to secure the container without losing throughput.

Result

Fast changeovers, no format parts and room to grow.

The result is a robust platform that changes quickly between linear and cylindrical operation, accepts new modules and maintains accuracy in both flexible runs and higher-output lines.
