The challenge
One line for very different product presentations.
Production combined trays requiring a C-wrap label with other references needing independent bottom and top applications, plus promotional or special labels. The objective was to bring all these configurations into one machine, keeping each label path available according to the production recipe and avoiding a separate machine for every presentation.
The solution
Three coordinated heads and a configurable labelling architecture.
Each application uses its own label path and can be enabled for the selected format. The tray moves continuously while the machine prints, applies and forms the labels required for each reference.
Printed bottom label
The lower path prints the information defined for the production order, including product name, composition, ingredients and other available variable data.
Top or promotional application
The third head can place a top, promotional or special label in the position defined for each presentation.
Operation with or without C-wrap
The machine can combine C-wrap, bottom and top or promotional labels, or run without C-wrap and use the required independent paths.

The label is formed while the tray keeps moving.
The video shows the C-wrap application in detail at the point of contact. Tray guidance and pressure rollers maintain the label path during infeed, application and finishing.

For complex applications such as C-wrap labelling, we work with label manufacturers to define the material, adhesive, die-cut and forming behaviour. This coordination validates the label as part of the mechanical process rather than as an isolated component.
